SRC Designs works with Chief Architect / Home Designer Pro for all design and drafting projects starting with Chief Premier version 3.0 in 1994 / 1995 and continuing with upgrades through Chief Architect X16 in early 2025. As with any software upgrade, the update to X17 will occur after the new release is proven.
Work with the Home Designer Pro series began with version 2021 in late 2020 and continues through version 2025 and, ultimately version 2026. The Home Designer series was taken on to help homeowners and contractors using this series, enabling the two way sharing of plan files and models. SRC works with user’s plans and models on a regular basis throughout each year.
SRC Designs has used AutoCAD starting with R12, DataCAD 7.0, Softplan version 8.0 thru 9.0 in DOS then version 10.00 in Windows. With a brief triast of Revit Lite in 2019. Chief Architect and Home Designer Pro have proven to be most efficient for residential designing / drafting over the years.
